International health does include the health issues in other countries such as the US, Australia and the UK, however as there are resources for therapists who would like paid experiences (recruiting companies, employers and governmental support), the IHD will focus on focus on rehabilitation and disability issues in low and middle income countries, where the link between poverty, inequity and health is most evident.

There are many valuable exchanges that can occur in every country, the IHD welcomes all members with an interest in the ideas and methods aligned with improving equity in health.
